The Lodge
Overview
Sunrock Lodge has 3,372 square feet of heated area. It is unique in that it is designed with four master suites. Most cabins have one master suite and several smaller bedrooms or open sleeping areas.
Every bedroom in the Lodge is master suite size, 12 - 14 square feet. Every bedroom has its own bathroom and a large walk-in closet. The upstairs suites have high vaulted ceilings; the main floor suite features a stacked stone fireplace and a sliding glass door to the main deck. The cozy downstairs suite is decorated in a hunter’s motif and is probably the most private room in the Lodge. Every room in Sunrock Lodge has the same magnificent view of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
The Lodge is oriented to the east-southeast at a bearing of 100. The northerly view is along a bearing of 50 and the southerly view is on a bearing of 140. The view from the Lodge is over the Mercier Orchard to the town of Blue Ridge. You can see Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee from our main deck.
The Lodge owner is an amateur horologist (clock guy). Every room of the Lodge features a turn of the century antique clock. All of the clocks in the Lodge are for sale.

The nicest place we’ve stayed. Outstanding views. Very clean. The owners are great to work with. The four master suite four-bath design is unique. It makes it very nice for couples sharing the house. Private, quiet location. Fairly priced. - Raymond S.
This cabin was nothing short of amazing. We had the greatest time and the best view ever. If you're looking for a private getaway I recommend this cabin Submitted: Anonymous
Our group of 8 friends take a couple of weekend trips a year. We chose Sunrock from the photos the owner, Ray Snead, had shared on VRBO. The photos did not compare to the actual cabin. The cabin was perfect!!! The setting has a wonderful view over Mercier Orchards and Blue Ridge. It looks (and feels) like you are a world away from the hustle and bustle. In reality, the cabin is a very short drive into town. The cabin itself did not disappoint. We enjoyed sitting around the large table for breakfast each morning and sitting on the screened-in porch with the fireplace and hot tub in the evenings. The bedrooms offered very comfy beds and clean well-appointed bathrooms. The temperature of the cabin was perfect for those of us who like to be cool. From the front door to every tiny crevice in the cabin we found it to be extremely clean and well taken care of. The owners were very easy to work with and helpful. Even when it took 2 phone calls assisting us to locate the cabin. As we left the cabin we decided Sunrock will be put on our list to visit again one day - the sooner the better. DeDe L.
We had a group of four couples looking for a cabin getaway not too far from Atlanta and this was a great choice for us. We took advantage of the cabin in its entirety using all the fireplaces, the hot tub, the porch, the game area, the spectacular living/dining/kitchen, and all four bed/bathrooms. The cabin was spotless and the binder of instructions was everything we needed and more. We drove about 25 minutes for a hike Saturday afternoon, but otherwise soaked up every minute and meal in the cabin enjoying one another's company. We struggled just a tad finding the cabin (a cabin name sign down at the Y intersection would be super helpful) but once there guided each other in over the phone. Cell and wifi worked perfectly. I can't say enough great things about our experience other than to say we hope we can come back soon! - Anonymous
